A selection of Frequently Asked Questions about our memorials and our services...

  • Question
I have a funeral plan. Can I pre-purchase a memorial in the same way?
    Answer
Memorials are often purchased from us before they are actually required. Provided payment is made in full, the cost of the memorial itself will not increase and it will be safely stored for you free of charge. Many customers do this to make things a little easier for their family at the time of bereavement.

  • Question
Do you have a brochure & price list?
    Answer
Yes we do – we can arrange for a hard copy to be sent to your address or we can send an electronic PDF version by e-mail.

  • Question
What is the approximate cost of a memorial?
    Answer
Prices for memorials are dependent on many factors such as size, material and shape and the cost of any disbursements that are applicable. We are, however, more than confident that whatever your budget we will be able to find you a suitable and fitting memorial with a large selection to choose from.

  • Question
How long does it usually take to get a memorial in place?
    Answer
Timescale is dependent on availability of your chosen memorial. In most cases we would expect completion within 12- 16 weeks, although there will be occasions where this time frame will be extended especially for more unusual and bespoke items.

  • Question
    What is a ground anchor?
    Answer
Ground anchors or sometimes known as NAMM bars are a safety system constructed from stainless steel to ensure the stability of a memorial and to meet with the current Cemetery / Churchyard regulations whilst conforming to the British Standard BS8415.

  • Question
What if I don’t see anything I like in the brochure?
    Answer
Although the brochures are reflective of the most popular choices of memorials currently available, we are always pleased to work with your ideas and are able through consultation to create the right memorial for your loved one.

  • Question
Do we have to give a deposit and how much would that be?
    Answer
We can hold a memorial on a deposit for as little as £100, although a 50% deposit plus any cemetery fee would be required for us to proceed with the order.

  • Question
Why do I have to pay a Cemetery/Church fee as we have already paid for the burial/interment?
    Answer
Cemetery fees are determined by the local authority or Church authority and may or may not be applicable for your memorial, we are happy to assist with this.

    Answer
No, we will on your behalf make any submissions required although the “Grave Owners” permission will need to be sought out.

Can I have more flower containers than that illustrated in your brochure?
    Answer
In most cases we will be able to supply your required amount of containers subject to available space and in some cases additional cost

  • Question
Do you provide any “marker” for the grave space whilst we wait for a memorial?
